Early Career Award and Financial Support
A limited number (more than 10) of partial travel support is available for early-career researchers. Only those accepted for the presentation and with financial difficulty traveling will be considered for support. Students are not eligible for this support (students can apply for the Student Award and Financial Support). The ‘Early Career Award’ winner will be selected from those who received this financial support.
To apply for this support, check the “Support for Early Career” item on the abstract submission and attach a letter of application with a statement of reason. A template file of the document can be downloaded below. The document can be written in English or Japanese. An application must have a statement of reason to be accepted. Additionally, the applicant must be the first author of the presentation. Applicants can also apply for the ‘Excellent Presentation Award’ described below.
The steering committee will strictly judge whether the application should be accepted, and an email notification will be sent to the applicant by the early registration deadline. Accepted authors will be waived from the full registration fee (JPY80,000) for those living in Europe or America, or half the registration fee (JPY40,000) for those living in Asia as travel support. In addition, the selected person for the support will be asked to submit their manuscript to Nuclear Instrument and Method B as a conference paper.
Student Award and Financial Support
Student support is designed to encourage students to present their work. Support will be provided as much as the budget allows. To apply for this support, check the ‘Support for Students” item on the abstract submission and attach a letter of application with the supervisor’s recommendation. A template file of the document can be downloaded below. The recommendation can be written in English or Japanese. An application must have a supervisor’s recommendation to be accepted. Additionally, the applicant must be the first author of the presentation. The “Student Award” winner will be selected from those who received this financial support. Applicants can also apply for the ‘Excellent Presentation Award’ described below.

Excellent Presentation Award
The Excellent Presentation Awards encourage young scientists to present their work. All young scientists (including the applicant for the ‘early career award’ and the ‘students award’) are expected to apply for this award. This award will be given to a limited number (5 to 10) of applicants not selected for the ‘early career award’ and the ‘student award’.
To apply for the Excellent Presentation Award, check the ‘Excellent Presentation Award’ item on the abstract submission. The applicant must be the first author of the presentation. In addition, winners will be asked to submit their manuscript to Nuclear Instrument and Method B as a conference paper.
